Key moments in ELKO EP history — from a garage startup in 1993 to a European leader in smart building automation, exporting to more than 70 countries.

  1. BJC joins ELKO EP Holding

    BJC becomes part of ELKO EP Holding, supplying the Spanish market with selected ELKO relays and the Nexus wireless system.

  2. Matter and glass thermostats

    Product innovations including glass thermostats RFTC and the first Matter-compatible iNELS products.

  3. RF Touch 2 and Inspinia acquisition

    Launch of RF Touch 2 and Thermovalve RFATV-2. Acquisition of Inspinia, a Turkish touch panel manufacturer, now co-owned at the Holešov facility.

  4. RF key fob and RFGB redesign

    RF key fob innovation with 4 or 6 buttons and an elegant new design for RFGB wireless controllers.

  5. miniCU — world's smallest central unit

    Manufacture of the miniCU (CU3-07M), recognised as the world's smallest central automation unit.

  6. iNELS Air and Smart City

    Introduction of the IoT iNELS Air product line and the iNELS Smart City concept — with the smart pole as a basic pillar of urban infrastructure.

  7. Accredited test laboratory

    Opening of ELKO EP's own test laboratory, accredited to EN ISO/IEC 17025. iNELS Future Office receives an industry award.

  8. Visionary 2015 award

    The wireless iNELS system wins the prestigious Visionary 2015 award. ELKO EP Saudi branch opens in Riyadh.

  9. LARA and Smart RF Box awards

    Industry awards for LARA configurator and Smart RF Box. Continued development across the iNELS product range.

  10. Company of the Year

    Named Company of the Year in the Zlín Region and 2nd place nationally in the Czech Republic.

  11. iNELS RF wireless system

    Launch of iNELS RF wireless control on the market. iNELS Multimedia introduced. RF Touch wins Innovation of the Year. ELKO EP Ukraine branch opens.

  12. iNELS BUS system launched

    The intelligent iNELS BUS electro-installation is launched. Gold Amper award. Establishment of ELKO Lighting Ltd.

  13. R&D centre and UL certification

    New R&D centre and production hall. UL certificate obtained for the United States market.

  14. Expansion across Central Europe

    New production and office spaces in Holešov-Všetuly. Branch offices opened in Poland and Hungary.

  15. Foundation of ELKO EP

    Jiří Konečný starts in a garage with switching power units for electrical heating. ELKO EP Ltd. is founded, becomes dominant producer of modular devices in Czech Republic. First branch in Slovakia; exports begin.

ELKO EP has operated its own testing laboratory for over 20 years — certified and accredited according to EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018. The lab performs development and conformity assessment tests on iNELS products and a wide range of electrical equipment for industrial and household use.
